The regulation
What is the Environmental Fee?
Greece's Climate Crisis Resilience Fee replaced the former Accommodation Tax from 1 January 2024, under Article 30 of Law 5073/2023.
It's a separate line item from city tax, added on top of the final price regardless of whether your rates are set up as NET or GROSS. The amount varies by season and by property type, so it needs to be configured per property rather than applied as one flat number sitewide. Because it's a distinct fee from city tax, it also needs to be excluded from revenue-based reporting the same way city tax is, so it doesn't inflate your actual room revenue figures.

Guests see the fee clearly itemised and marked “Not Included” in totals across the booking page, cart, confirmation page and confirmation email, so there's nothing to explain at check-out.

Every reservation
The fee is configured once in your tax settings, with separate high- and low-season values since amounts are property-specific. Once set, SabeeApp applies it automatically to every reservation at the correct seasonal rate, calculated per room per night rather than per person.

Second requirement
myDATA — Greece's digital tax platform
Greece also requires myDATA reporting, separate from the Environmental Fee. myDATA is Greece's digital tax compliance platform, run by AADE (the Greek tax authority), and SabeeApp reports to it through Hotelinvoicer, a cloud invoicing system built specifically for the Greek hospitality sector.

Setup is done from the SabeeApp Marketplace: connect Hotelinvoicer and choose the date your invoice synchronisation should start from.
Third requirement
GSIS — guest registration
Greek accommodation providers are also required to register guest details with the General Secretariat for Information Systems (GSIS) — guest names, identification numbers and the duration of each stay.
