Top Takeaways from SabeeApp’s 4WARD: 4.0, AI and hotel tech innovations

On November 6, we welcomed more than 120 property owners, general managers, and partners to KincsemKULT for our largest event to date: 4WARD by SabeeApp.

Our goal was to bring together hospitality professionals to discuss future opportunities, industry trends and reveal what we’ve been working on - our renewed brand identity, our new logo, and exciting upcoming features of SabeeApp 4.0 version.

The energy in the room exceeded everything we hoped for. With inspiring speakers, forward-thinking discussions, and a buzzing networking session to close the evening, 4WARD became a true milestone in SabeeApp’s journey. Let’s see the highlights of the event:

Key Takeaways from 4WARD by SabeeApp

As guests began to arrive at KincsemKULT, the venue quickly filled with a lively mix of hotel operators, industry experts, tech innovators, and integration partners. Conversations started flowing naturally as guests started discussing first impressions and shared opinions on current hospitality trends and challenges. For many attendees, this was their first time meeting the SabeeApp team in person, so it was a great opportunity to put a face to their Account Managers’ voice.

The official program started with Szabolcs Herman’s, our CEO’s welcome speech. He welcomed the guests, and shared the story and inspiration behind SabeeApp’s creation 14 years ago. He shared the challenges he faced while running an accommodation business, and how it contributed to the journey that brought him to where he is today.

Behind the New SabeeApp Look

One of the highlights of the early program was a behind-the-scenes deep dive into SabeeApp’s new visual identity, presented by our Head of Marketing, Karen Bengtsson.

Karen talked about the design process that shaped the refreshed brand, explaining how every choice, from typography to color palette, was designed to make SabeeApp more fresh and friendly. She also revealed the new SabeeApp logo which brings together a house, the universal sign of welcome, and a horizon, symbolising progress, direction, energy, and moving forward.

As we enter this new era with the biggest product launch to date, 4.0, this identity sets the tone: confident, modern, grounded, and human-centred.

Pre-Launch of SabeeApp 4.0

Dávid Máté, Head of Partnerships, then took the stage to introduce what many had been waiting for: the pre-launch of the new SabeeApp 4.0.

The upcoming version of SabeeApp PMS is redesigned to be faster, smarter, and more user-friendly. Dávid introduced the guiding principles behind the development process and walked the audience through the key changes and improvements they can expect.

A sneak peek of what’s coming in SabeeApp 4.0:

  • Daily activity snapshot with smart widgets on the Dashboard
  • Lists have been unified across the platform
  • Urgent activities collected under the Action Center
  • Chevron-style layout on the Calendar for clearer reservation tracking
  • Mobile-friendly, off-canvas reservation details
  • Free flow scrolling and room type & floor filters
  • Redesigned reservation status and timeline on the Reservation page
  • Transition from grid to list view for easier Rate Plan management
  • Inventory Grid for rate management on a room type level

Furthermore, SabeeApp is soon releasing the Booking Engine 4.0, a conversion-optimised mobile friendly direct booking tool, the Cashdrawer, the AI FrontDesk agent which will manage OTA and social messages from one smart inbox, and SabeeGo which will allow you to take your business in your pocket and get real-time insights.

4.0 Demos & Tech Partner Showcase

Following the presentations, guests headed to the upper floor where product demos and integration partners were waiting.

Guests explored previews of the redesigned interface of SabeeApp 4.0, and had the opportunity to talk with Account Managers, and provide immediate feedback to our Product team. At the same time, our tech partners (RoomPriceGenie, RoomRaiser, Placcon, Fruitsys, Dormakaba, Booking.com, Szallas.hu and TTLock) showcased their products too, from intelligent pricing tools to restaurant POS systems and smart locks.

This hands-on format encouraged direct conversations between clients, Product Owners, and Account Managers, helping clarify questions, deepen understanding, and gather valuable input as we fine-tune the upcoming release.

SabeeApp AI-research: Current AI Usage and Future Opportunities among Hoteliers

After the demos, the event continued with an exclusive look at SabeeApp’s research on artificial intelligence in hospitality which we conducted among Hungarian property owners and managers.

The results were presented by Szabolcs Herman and Dr. László Kökény from Corvinus University. Here you can find some key findings:

  • More than 50% of hoteliers plan to adopt AI within the next 12 months: While the main barrier to using AI is the lack of expertise and experience, more than half plan to adopt it very soon to help their everyday operations.
  • 65% of respondents believe that using AI can support human workers by freeing up resources and time to improve guest experience.
  • Many have concerns that artificial intelligence would negatively impact human-to-human interactions, but 47% trust AI-based data analysis more than traditional calculations
  • Nearly half of the respondents believe that within 3 years, AI will become mainstream in the Hungarian tourism industry which means hoteliers need to take AI-based solutions seriously if they want to keep up with the demand.

These insights help define the direction in which AI is evolving and the key trends influencing hospitality. As a result of this presentation, participants gained meaningful takeaways that will support more informed decisions and future strategies.

Panel discussion with RoomRaiser and RoomPriceGenie: Rethinking the Role in the RMS Era

Last but not least, the expert panel discussion brought fresh, interesting viewpoints to the stage in the topic of revenue management. The session was moderated by Dávid Máté and featured:

  • Andre Kaufmann (RoomPriceGenie)
  • and Dávid Buzás (RoomRaiser)

During the panel discussion, the topic revolved around revenue management, the roles of revenue managers, and the possible future changes and challenges in the RMS era.

Rather than signalling the “end” of the revenue manager, the discussion focused on how the role is evolving: moving away from manual data crunching and toward strategic decision-making.

As Andre Kaufmann said, “When we’re looking at the majority of RMS solutions, we see that a lot of them are still based on algorithms. That’s a trustworthy background that’s telling the hotel the reasons why we suggest certain rates. Going forward, AI is going to be great in spotting different patterns but for those patterns you need data. And the question is: what kind of data are we feeding to the AI?”

He also highlighted that fully handing over rate and revenue decisions to AI is not advisable as you want to stay in control of your operations.

The audience engaged actively, asking questions and sharing their own perspectives from different segments of the market.

Moving forward together

To close the day, guests, partners and the SabeeApp team gathered for an informal networking session accompanied by excellent wines, snacks, and finger foods. This final part of the event became a vibrant meeting point for exchanging ideas, forming new partnerships, and continuing debates sparked during the talks.

4WARD wasn’t just an ordinary event, it was the beginning of an exciting new chapter for SabeeApp.

With SabeeApp 4.0 on the horizon, we’re committed to delivering more powerful tools, smarter workflows, and a more intuitive experience for every hotelier. To follow the progress, explore upcoming features, and give feedback directly to the team, make sure to check the Roadmap and SabeeApp 4.0 page on the SabeeApp Community.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make 4WARD by SabeeApp such an inspiring and memorable event.

We can’t wait to see you again next year!
