We have created our primary solution to make both your clients’ and your staff’s life simpler. We gave you a sneak peek on the upcoming development on this front in this article, therefore if you would like to learn more about them, you should check it out. 

Basically, these hotel apps are aimed at simplifying front desk processes, firstly the check-in. From the client’s side, they can complete the whole check-in procedure seamlessly without even having to type anything into the mobile application. They can do everything from home, simply by scanning their travel documents within the GuestAdvisor application. 

Should they not take advantage of this handy tool, the hotel reception still has a new hotel staff app, which will enable them to scan the same documents with ease, eliminating the need to type anything manually. Consequently, saving valuable time, which can be spent on the clients, instead of on administration.


Housekeeping application

Our other recently updated hotel mobile application is tailored for the housekeeping department. This app is aimed to eliminate the communication hurdles between the reception and the cleaning staff. By providing real time feedback, both the front desk and the housekeeping team can avoid the frustration which might arise when they don't know what the other is doing.

Another upside of using an app instead of an old school paper-based worksheets, is the saved time on all involved departments. Instead of manually printing the rooms status reports, then creating a worksheet for the housekeepers every single morning, the app can show updated, clear and easy to understand information for everyone using it.Sabeeapp-HK-app-updates

One of the recent updates is the possibility of creating task lists within each room. This gives the housekeeping responsible the option to clarify the cleaning needs of each room for everyone and offer a reminder for every member of the housekeeping team about the tasks to be completed in every single room, every single time, so your standards are kept as they are supposed to.

We have also added a new room status called 'Still dirty'. This can be used when after a supervision of the cleaned room, the cleaning is not up to the required standards. The housekeeping supervisor now will have the option to send back the chambermaids to the room to correct the error, directly through the hotel app.

Comments and photos can also be left, so the pending tasks are clear for everyone. Should this situation happen, a notification is sent to the chambermaid, with the notes and photos taken by the supervisor. This way the cleaning staff is clearly notified that certain parts of the room cleaning must be repeated.

Another new function is the minibar refill possibility. Through the housekeeping app, the person in charge of refilling the minibar can add the consumed items to the guest’s account. Once again eliminating the unnecessary use of paper and avoiding a step, by waiting for the reception to charge the items on the guest’s folio. The whole team can also finally get real time updates on the minibar statuses as they are being refilled, and you can minimize the number of unpaid minibar items.

A benefit also worth mentioning, is the possibility for the management to monitor housekeeping performance in a much better way. They can have a real, fact-based picture on how long it takes to clean a room and what are the real pain points of the cleaning process.

This will later allow them to take better actions and set more realistic goals. To give incentive to your staff to use these kinds of hotel mobile applications, especially in the housekeeping department, you can even create internal challenges, choose employee of the month, or celebrate other achievements based on these results.
