Connection to Ctrip (Trip.com)

China is a large market and Ctrip is a channel that is focusing mostly on this market, so it might attract and bring in a lot of guests, once your property is listed on their platform.

How to Connect Your SabeeApp Account to the Ctrip Channel

Follow these steps to connect your SabeeApp account to the Ctrip channel:

  1. Go to Distribution / Channel Manager / List of All Channels / Ctrip, and click on Connect to Channel.
  2. Ctrip allows you to choose how to receive payments from guests: either via Virtual Credit Card (VCC) or Bank Transfer.

This setting is especially relevant if SabeePay is enabled for your property, as the SabeePay emails will be sent out accordingly:

Payment Options

  • Pre-payment via VCC: We’ll collect the VCC details. If SabeePay is set as the payment method for the reservation policy, payment reminder emails will not be sent. You can charge the VCC directly from the reservation page as before.
  • Pre-payment via Bank Transfer: If you choose this option and SabeePay is set as the payment method, payment reminder emails will not be sent.
  • Post-payment (Pay at Hotel): If you choose this option and the policy’s payment method is SabeePay, all payment reminder emails will be sent.

2. Contact your Ctrip market manager and ask them to set SabeeApp as your channel manager partner for all the accounts you want to connect.

3. If you want to add more than one rate plan to this channel, first add the rate plans in your Ctrip extranet, then contact us so we can activate them on our end.

4. If the default currency in your Ctrip account is different from the default currency in your SabeeApp account, please contact your SabeeApp account manager. They will apply the necessary exchange rate to ensure proper currency conversion.

Once your Ctrip market manager confirms the connection, please let us know, and we will finalize the process. You will be notified when the connection is complete and live.


After Connecting to Ctrip

Once the connection is live, the following information will sync between SabeeApp and Ctrip:

  • Availability
  • Prices
  • Minimum Stay Restrictions
  • Rate plan open/close
  • New reservations from Ctrip will appear in your SabeeApp calendar.
  • Credit card data will be included in reservations sent from Ctrip (except for CVC details, which can be accessed by logging into your Ctrip extranet).

Important Notes

  • If you plan to make any changes in the Ctrip extranet regarding room types (such as adding new rooms, changing maximum occupancy, or removing rooms), please notify us as soon as the changes are made.
  • Cancellations for bookings made before the connection is established will not be forwarded to SabeeApp. Keep an eye on these reservations and cancel them manually from your SabeeApp calendar!
